I took this photo in the evening at Lugwardine, Herefordshire. I have to use software to emphasise the fence which wasn't as dark as in the photo. My husband says that i need to trick the camera into keeping the shutter open by tipping it to the floor, half clicking and then lifting it to take the photo. Any better advice?

That aside I quite like the effect I did get, it's warm and reflects the end of a beautiful day.
